CLASSICAL GUITAR
Repertoire is all for nylon string Classical Guitar. I play a wide range of music ranging from Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern periods. I also play a number of classical-style arrangements of rock, jazz and popular music. I will learn new pieces on request with advance notice and possible additional fees.

CLASSICAL GUITAR DUOS
"Nothing is more beautiful than a guitar, perhaps save two . . ."
Frederic Chopin (1810-1849)
I can provide a variety of Classical Guitar music in combinations with other fine performers and instruments including Classical Guitar Duo, Guitar and Violin, Guitar and Flute, Guitar and Cello.

STRING TRIOS AND QUARTETS
I am also a cellist and I can provide fine String Trios and Quartets for entertainment venues, concerts and fine background music. Often I will double on Guitar, performing such beautiful works as the Vivaldi Concerti in D and A with string accompaniment.

PERFORMANCE SETTINGS
Performers all love fine concert halls with great acoustics. I often have occasions to play in fine halls like this. I love to play for an audience that will quietly listen in appreciation of the music. I also play for events or occasions where fine background music is desired, and no one expects to be quiet.

However a few things are required by presenters to help make events more successful. Classical Guitar can be a finicky instrument, and the Guitar and its performers should not be subjected to an environment with sudden or dramatic changes in temperature, humidity, or wind. It makes the instrument go out of tune. A suitable place to perform is also required where the instrument or the performer will have a space with basic boundaries, to avoid knocking into the instrument. Also, I will not play in direct sunlight for more than a few minutes, or in cold temperatures. It damages the Guitar (and me too!). Although it is not required, it is always nice when presenters for background music occasions will set aside just a few minutes for the attendees to listen to and focus on the artistry of the visiting musician.

BENEFIT PERFORMANCES
I have played many benefit concerts for worthy causes including Project MANA, Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation, Thunderbird Lodge Preservation Society, Lake Tahoe Music Festival and more. However I have reduced the number of free benefits I will play. Classical Guitar is an expensive vocation and artists need to be paid too. When considering a benefit performance presenters should also consider paying at least a reduced fee to artists to cover some expenses for time, travel and expertise.

LESSONS
I am always willing to offer lessons in Classical Guitar to those who have interest and who recognize the value of studying with me. If you love music and want to study contact me.

FEES
Performance fees are always negotiable but always begin with a minimum two-hour block at a minimum rate per hour. Events requiring additional travel, new repertoire requests or special circumstances will be charged an extra fee. If your event is opulent, you should expect to pay me a bit more opulent fee than normal.
